My Fine Italian Adventure

I have just returned from a 14 day whirlwind tour of Italy and I want to report about my new keep-the-bugs-away Elixir. As many of you know I usually recommend a couple of preventatives when you are traveling in Mexico, Guatamala or any other Third world country with iffy water: Don't drink the water, and take one Undecyn, one Jug Art and one Paraguard first thing in the morning.

I decided to do something a bit different for my trip to Italy. First of all, I bravely ( or stupidly) decided to throw all caution to the winds, to drink tap water, eat salads, fruits, buy food from vendors etc. wherever I went. Secondly, I put together a new magic keep-the-bugs-away Elixir: Equal parts of Jug Art (Eclectic), Coptis (Thorne) and Echinacea (MediHerb) mixed all together in a 4 ounce bottle. I took a teaspoon in a bit of (tap) water every morning on an empty stomach., plus I took a heaping T. of Herbal Bulk every night.

Guess what? It worked! I did not get sick. No stomach stuff, no pesky viral thing from the plane. Nothing. Only towards the end when staying in Manarola in the Cinque Terre, a quaint medieval village perched high on cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean did I feel some mild stomach cramping. I tripled my dose of the new Elixir and doubled my dose of Herbal Bulk and it was gone in a day.

I've been back a day now and other than some jet lag, and some excess poundage from my daily gelato, I feel just fine.

PS. For some reason, no matter how tightly I screwed on the cap,the bottle of Elixir oozed. Since Coptis is very yellow and tends to stain and I doubt that you want it all over your nice white t-shirts, I strongly suggest double bagging your bottle. I had no problem with mess after the double baggie routine.
